At the conclusion of every game is either a stealthy getaway or a bloody cyberpunk street battle. Meanwhile, everyone else at the table is forced to move their pawns in the open on a large, colorful game board. One player plots their moves in secret on a sheet of paper. In Specter Ops, players take on the role of corporate assassins lurking in the shadows. That’s because the company has signed on Emerson Matsuuchi, the designer behind Specter Ops, a modern classic. IDW products are historically hit or miss, but this time around my hopes are high. Today IDW Games announced Metal Gear Solid : The Board Game, the latest in a long line of video game franchises to make the move to tabletop.
